During the visit of the first vessel Anastasis to New Zealand in 1983, Graeme felt called to the work of Mercy Ships. For more than 30 years he has worked on four Mercy Ships and in four land-based offices in a number of administration and leadership roles. Over this time he has visited over 60 countries working in the South Pacific Islands, Central America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and West Africa.In 1990 he met his wife Sharon and they have three adult children.
Since 2008 Graeme has served as the Director of Mercy Ships New Zealand, and recently returned from serving on board the Africa Mercy during the second Madagacsar field service.
Sharon has served with Mercy Ships for more than 25 years including and has been working for the organisation in Auckland since 2008. Her work as communications manager earned recognition and an award from PRINZ, the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.
Dr Eleri Clissold
Dr Eleri Clissold with her husband, Patrick – a marine engineer – Eleri served as physician aboard Africa Mercy in Madagascar for 3 months in late 2015.
She is assisting MSNZ on a voluntary basis with our Social Media channels.
