Shipmates Ashore

It is easier than you think to help make essential surgery accessible to Africa’s poor! Whatever your forte, why not get your friends and whanau together for a good time and support a great cause in the process.

You can help Mercy Ships change the world right here at home – by organising a fundraising event of any size. A cake stall, a sports event, a gardening service, a mid-winter Christmas party – even ‘donating’ your birthday will help make a difference. Anything you can think of can become a lifeline for the people Mercy Ships serves.

All funds raised will help Mercy Ships take surgical care to the people who most need it. So why not plan an event and help us make a difference?

HOW TO RUN AN EVENT

School Mufti Day Matt and Daniel organised for Mercy Ships to be the recipient charity for funds raised at their Intermediate school’s annual Mufti day. The boys went around to each class and told them about the work Mercy Ships does. The children each donated a gold coin and they raised over $300.
