SHIP OF HOPE

Meet New Zealand volunteers providing free essential surgery, on board a hospital ship in West Africa. TVNZ’s SUNDAY correspondent Tania Page and the documentary team take us on a remarkable journey of hope as they step onto the Africa Mercy docked in Guinea, West Africa.

The patients come to the Mercy Ship suffering from extreme conditions never seen here in New Zealand, and their life-transforming operations unleash a whole new future.

There’s heartache, passion and moments of pure joy as the huge-hearted volunteer medics serve their patients on the Ship of Hope.
