Michelle’s speciality as a surgical ward nurse is vital to the care and well-being of hospital ship’s patients after they undergo major surgery on board.
She says she first heard about the work of Mercy Ships in church when she was still in high school.
“When I became a nurse, I wanted to use my skills to help others, so I decided to do that with Mercy Ships. I became a surgical nurse specifically to do this.”
I’m excited to see the surgical transformation in people’s lives – the ability for them to walk again with straight legs. I’m most excited to see those big changes.
